The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, ward management and leadership for the nursing professions to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
Our nursing staff will manage most of your ongoing care and treatment in Hospital. They will assess, plan and administer your daily treatment and manage your general health. Speak to them about your immediate needs. They can also direct you to the right people to speak to about specific medical issues.
We have nursing staff with expertise and qualifications in Advanced Nursing; Palliative Care; Management; Education; Emergency Nursing and Stomal Therapy. They also attend Organisational and Regional working parties such as wound management, pressure injury and prevention, falls prevention, Comprehensive Care of the Older Person, Blood Safety and Work Health & Saftey.
You will have access to your local General Practitioner (GP) and where necessary or appropriate, the services of a Resident Doctor. GPs with admitting rights to the Mount Gambier Private Hospital are located at the following medical practices:
