Patients & Visitors

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours at the Private Hospital are from *11:00am to 8:00pm each day.  Consideration will be given to requests outside of the normal visiting hours where appropriate and should be discussed with a staff member.  Any visitors who will need to be in the hospital between 8:30pm and 6:30am will need to obtain an identity badge at the public hospital admissions desk.

*Due to the current climate regarding COVID-19, visiting hours and restrictions may vary depending on current State and National recommendations. Please refer to your visiting hour guidelines displayed at the current time of your admission, or ask a staff member for advice.

Paediatric–parents have open visiting. For child protection reasons, visitors other than parents will not be admitted when a parent or caregiver is not present unless express consent by the parent has been given.

To assist our staff in ensuring your privacy during your stay, please advise the nursing staff on arrival if you do not wish callers or visitors to know that you have been admitted to the hospital.

Patients and visitors are requested to help reduce excessive noise by avoiding loud conversations and high volumes on TV and radio sets. Patients are encouraged to use personal headsets for CD/DVD players. Visitors are asked to supervise children at all times, and to be considerate of other patients.

Hand basins and alcohol hand rubs are located throughout the hospital and it is very important to perform hand hygiene, especially as you enter and leave the facility, before eating and after using the restroom.

It is recommended that if you have influenza or are infectious that you do not visit.

Free Car Parking

Free car parking is available at the front of the hospital and at the west side of the hospital.  Additional spaces are available on Allison Street with a pathway leading to the buildings.
